THE NAZI CONNECTION
According to The CIA’s Greatest Hits author, Mark Zepezauer, ‘one of the most important of all CIA operations began before the agency was even born’. This operation was known as Project Paperclip.
The intimate connection between the US government and Nazi Germany, via CIA channels, is today well-known, and perhaps especially so to UFO researchers. Under the code-name Project Paperclip (later Operation Paperclip) top Nazi scientists were shipped to the US and South America towards the end of World War II instead of facing war crimes charges. It seemed the US had better use for the likes of Klaus Barbie (the notorious ‘Butcher of Lyon’), for example, than did the Court of International Justice. The reason? The Nazis had developed technologies way in advance of anyone else, and America wanted to know where those technologies had come from.
_______________________________
What is known for certain is this. Towards the end of World War II many high-ranking Nazis realized that Germany was about to lose the war, and as much of their funding, both prior to and during the war, had come from American sources, that’s who they turned to for help. Negotiations for their future, in fact, began as early as 1943, when prominent Wall Street lawyer and future CIA Director, Allen Dulles, who had been largely responsible for funnelling millions of dollars of American money into Nazi coffers during the war, moved to Bern, Switzerland, in an official capacity as an OSS agent (OSS: Overseas Secret Service, the CIA’s predecessor). But as Mark Zepezauer points out in his book, Dulles had his own agenda with the Nazis, ‘many of whom he had worked with before the war’. Indeed, Dulles’s sole purpose for moving to Bern was to begin negotiations with his ‘clients’ in order to secure their futures as US collaborators.
The US government, of course, was fully aware that some of the world’s most brilliant scientists and engineers were up for grabs. Knowing that American money had secretly funded their research for the past decade and more, plus the knowledge that, if the Americans didn’t get them, the Russians would, spurred the US into action. But what clinched the deal ultimately was that Hitler’s intelligence chief for the Eastern Front, General Reinhard Gehlen, convinced the Americans that Russia was planning to attack the Allies and take control of post-war Europe. This was indeed a cunning move on Gehlen’s part; paranoia between the two future superpowers was already rife, and Gehlen managed to use this situation to benefit his own cause, successfully negotiating a deal whereby he would become America’s intelligence outpost in Europe. With American funds Gehlen set up his post-war intelligence organization, which before it evolved into the BND (Germany’s present-day ‘CIA’) was informally known as the Gehlen Organization, or the ‘Gehlen Org’, and was largely populated by Gehlen’s former SS and Gestapo co-henchmen, who also escaped war crimes charges in return for serving the US in this way. Indeed, for a full decade following the war Gehlen’s ruthless intelligence machine was the CIA’s Cold War eye on Eastern Europe and Russia. At the top end of the chain, even today, Germany’s BND is little more than a European CIA outlet.
But Gehlen was not the only Nazi war criminal to win a pact with the Americans. The agency soon to become the CIA also contracted the services of Holocaust mastermind Otto von Bolschwing and SS Colonel Otto Skorzeny, as well as the Lyon Butcher, Klaus Barbie. Top Nazi scientists and aviation experts such as the infamous Wernher von Braun were also poached by the CIA and given their freedom—in exchange for ‘services rendered’. As alluded to above, the reason so many top Nazi scientists and engineers were absorbed by the CIA was that major scientific and technological advances had been made by them, particularly in terms of genetics, particle-and-laser-beam weaponry and exotic flight propulsion, many believe as a result of some covert Nazi/alien alliance, and the Americans wanted to develop rather than destroy the new technologies on offer. (They were also desperate to grab them before the Russians reached Berlin.) It is no secret that the Nazis had forged major breakthroughs in antigravity and radar-invisible ‘flying saucer’ technology, for example, and it is widely suspected that the so-called ‘Foo Fighters’ observed by Allied pilots towards the end of the war were the result of the new technologies. The question on everybody’s lips was: Did the Nazis forge this super-technology alone? Or did they receive a little help from an off-planet source?
On the face of it, the idea that, in conjunction with some of the world’s most powerful corporate and occult-based Secret Government groups, some renegade alien intelligence sponsored Hitler’s rise to power is of course absurd. But the fact remains that the US military is today in possession of technologies that make the latest Stealth aircraft look like steam engines. This technology came from Nazi Germany. And according to the latest conspiracy theories, the Nazis got it from aliens.

CASE STUDY: COSMIC TOP-X03 EYES ONLY
THE VRIL SOCIETY
That the Nazi dream of a New World Order/One World Government was born, at least in part, of occult beliefs is not in doubt. That Hitler was himself obsessed with the supernatural, and with establishing what some commentators have termed profitable contact with extraterrestrial intelligences is also substantiated by good evidence. As researcher and author Russel Warren comments:
‘From the very beginning the embryonic National Socialist movement was heavily influenced by various occult ideas—as was Hitler himself during his early, desperate days in Vienna. The Thule Society, from which Nazism largely developed, was a melting pot of various occult orders, attracting a ragbag of occultists ranging from Theosophists to Neo-Templars.’
But the occult organization exerting the most influence on Nazi policy was undoubtedly the Vril Society, whose major ambitions included the development of new and radical technologies based on the teachings of ‘Occult Wisdom’. Together with Hitler and his band of megalomaniacs the Vril Society was obsessed with stories of visiting aliens and depictions of exotic aircraft found in ancient Sanskrit texts and other scriptures from antiquity. Indeed, the society claimed to have harnessed the means to recreate this ancient space-faring technology, while the Third Reich’s most secretive echelons, together with the Vril Society, claimed they were given this wisdom and its attendant technology by an extraterrestrial intelligence from Aldebaran, a solar system in the constellation of Taurus, sixty-eight light years from earth. Absurd, maybe. But as early as the 1930s Hitler and the Vril Society were indeed involved in the successful development of saucer-shaped aircraft that displayed highly advanced aeronautical capabilities. So if not from Aldebaran or any other extraterrestrial source, where did these technologies originate?
The US authorities were of course aware of Hitler’s achievements (indeed, they had funded most of them). They were also aware that a similar situation existed in pre-war Japan, at least in terms of scientific advances way ahead of their time. Evidence implicating Japanese scientists in Nazi-style experiments involving research into genetics and cloning, as well as lethal human experimentation to develop biological and chemical warfare agents, is well documented. Again, in some quarters alien involvement is cited, and some even say this was the real reason America entered the war in December 1941—to prevent the combined might of Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan from developing these technologies to their fullest potential. It was, after all, only the Allies’ defeat of Nazi Germany that in the end prevented the production of Hitler’s infamous ‘Andromeda Machine’—described as a ‘Zeppelin-sized levitating cylinder ship’, a giant space station allegedly built from acquired alien technology and based on the science of electrogravitics, a new and exotic form of propulsion, even today.
Before we reject these claims out of hand, we should at least consider the words of those directly involved in researching and developing the technologies in question. Dr. Hermann Oberth, for example, who was smuggled out of Germany along with other Nazi scientists as part of Operation Paperclip:
“We cannot take the credit for our record advancement in certain scientific fields alone. We have been helped … [by] people of other worlds.”
Oberth pioneered Nazi rocket design alongside Wernher von Braun. Following the war both became leading contributors to NASA’s space program. Indeed, von Braun—responsible for designing the Nazi’s V-2 combat rocket during World War II—was the chief architect of the Saturn V launch rocket, which powered NASA’s Apollo Moon missions. Ironically, Von Braun is today regarded as the ‘father of the United States space program’.
According to Timothy Good (Above Top Secret, 1988), in 1959 von Braun made the following statement:
‘We find ourselves faced by powers which are far stronger than hitherto assumed, and whose base is at present unknown to us. More I cannot say at present. We are now engaged in entering into closer contact with those powers, and within six or nine months time it may be possible to speak with more precision on the matter.’
Does this mean that Hitler was in league with aliens back in the 1930s? No. Does it make the possibility any less absurd? Probably not. But it does open up the idea to scrutiny. The fact is this technology came from ‘somewhere’, and a veritable mountain of evidence, albeit circumstantial, says that this ‘somewhere’ was off-planet: ‘extraterrestrial’ – which, if nothing else, would certainly explain why such a massive conspiracy of secrecy continues to surround the phenomenon, more than sixty years on.
