The CIA's remote viewing program

In the 1970s well-known New York psychic, Ingo Swann, was head-hunted and hired by the CIA to take part in its top secret remote viewing program, in which Swann was to become one of the US spy agency’s new breed of ‘psychic spies’.
Ingo Swann’s task was to psychically pinpoint enemy facilities, take a look around and tell his CIA masters what he could see.
Recounting perhaps his most disturbing operation, Swann recalled:
“I came upon an elevator, and I thought, ‘Well, it can’t be going up, so it must be going down.’

“So I went underground, and found that the place was in fact a biological research installation. There were horses, pigs, monkeys … all being subjected to biological and chemical tests. And then I found the humans, who were also being experimented on.”
Swann shed tears as he concluded: “It was the most dreadful thing I have ever seen. I wept for at least an hour before I could get it back together.”
Two years later US Special Forces destroyed the installation, having found it precisely where Ingo Swann claimed he had psychically seen it.
REMOTE VIEWING QUOTES
‘Remote viewing is still a worthwhile pursuit, for the same reason that I thought it was originally. There’s something there; we can’t explain it, but it works. There are a lot of things it can do.’
Major General Ed Thompson, Asst Chief of Staff for Intelligence, US Army, 1978 – 1981.
‘As far as the future of parapsychology is concerned, no intelligence organization would turn their backs on such a valuable source of information. Were I in the CIA today I would still want them [the psychics] to monitor what is going on.’
Admiral Stansfield Turner, CIA Director, 1977 – 1981.
